Admission Requirements & application Guide
1. Academic Requirements
- Undergraduate: Successful completion of Higher Secondary Education (HSC) or equivalent GCE A-Levels.
Minimum grade requirements vary by program (typically 2 principal passes).
Transfers: Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) available for students with relevant diplomas.
2. English Language Requirements
Credit in English at O-Level/IGCSE.
IELTS: Minimum overall score of 6.0 (no band lower than 5.5).
TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 79.
Completion of primary/secondary education in an English-medium institution.
3. Application Checklist
- Documents to upload :
- Passport bio-data pages (passport valid beyond your intended stay)
- Recent passport-size digital photo (about 45–50 mm high x 35–40 mm wide, or 170–181 px high x 132–151 px wide)
- Letter of Offer from the higher education or training institution
- Letter of Acceptance signed by the student
- Police Character / Character Certificate (issued within the last 6 months, in English or French, valid at national level)
- Proof of funds (certified bank statement/attestation showing at least MUR 150,000)
- If sponsored: sponsorship letter + sponsor’s ID document(s)
- Proof of accommodation in Mauritius (rental agreement, residence confirmation, or letter from the institution)
- Medical reports (valid for 6 months), including:
- Fitness certificate (full medical examination)
- Blood tests: Full Blood Count, Fasting Blood Sugar,
- Blood Urea,
- Hepatitis B (Surface Antigen), Hepatitis C (Antibody)
- HIV (with method specified)
- VDRL/TPHA
- Chest X‑ray report certified and signed by a Radiologist.
- - Filariasis test (if you are from a listed high‑risk country)
- Confirmation you are not suffering from Leprosy (for students from specified countries)
4. Important note:
Filariasis test for students from countries as mentioned hereunder: Angola, American Samoa, Bangladesh, Benin, Brunei Darussalam, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Dominican Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea,Fiji, French Polynesia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mali, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, New Caledonia, Niger, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Samoa, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Sudan, the United Republic of Tanzania and Zimbabwe.
For students coming from the following countries, the doctor must confirm that the student is not suffering from Leprosy on examination: Bangladesh, Brazil, Congo, Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Philippines, Somalia, Sri Lanka and United Republic of Tanzania.
